The Town of Lexington announced Thursday that the iconic Budweiser Clydesdales are set to make their first-ever appearance downtown Lexington at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, April 25.
The Clydesdales will parade down Main Street, distributing cases of beer to businesses. The horse will use the route of Main Street to North Lake Drive, Butler Street to North Church Street back to Main Street.
The Clydesdales date back to April 1933, when a six-horse hitch was presented as a gift to August A. Busch, Sr., by his sons to celebrate the repeal of Prohibition. Today, the Clydesdales interact with millions of people each year to create a one-of-a-kind experience that generates lifelong memories.
